Pacquaio-Mayweather Fight Moves One Step Closer
It appears that the "dream" fight between Floyd "Money" Mayweather and Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has taken another step towards becoming a reality as Mayweather has agreed to the initial terms of a welterweight fight, tentatively scheduled for March 13th with May 1st as a fallback date.
The location of the fight has not been determined but there is interest from several venues including the new Cowboys Stadium, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and the New Orleans Superdome.
Timing for this fight will be critical is Pacquiao is scheduled to run for a congressional seat in his home country of the Philippines which holds elections on May 10th.
If Pacquiao-Mayweather isn't finalized, Arum has talked about matching Pacquiao with junior middleweight titlist Yuri Foreman, which would give Pacquiao an opportunity to win a title in an eighth division. Foreman defeated Daniel Santos to win a 154-pound belt on the Pacquiao-Cotto undercard.
Schaefer has talked about bringing Mayweather to England to match him with Matthew Hatton in the event Pacquiao-Mayweather isn't made. Hatton is the brother of Ricky Hatton, the former junior welterweight and welterweight titlist whom Mayweather knocked out in 2007.(espn.com)

Iverson Back From Retirement - Accepts 76ers Offer
After declaring his retirement, it appears Allen Iverson has had a change of heart. Iverson notified the Philadelphia 76ers that he will in fact accept their contract offer and re-join the team where he was once the marquee player. According to ESPN:
If Iverson received the pro-rated veterans minimum, the deal would be worth $1,029,794. He could get the full veterans' minimum of $1,306,455 if the Sixers signed him with the mid-level or $1.99 million contract exception.
"In light of the recent injury to Lou Williams, which will sideline him for close to eight weeks, we felt that Allen was the best available free agent guard to help us at this time," team president Ed Stefanski said
Iverson has been traded around the league several times in recent years including stints in Denver, Detroit and most recently, Memphis.
